Roman Chamomile is one of the most ancient and widely known medicinal herbs known in the world today. It has a hugely versatile range of applications and is gentle enough to use on almost every skin type and age group. It holds many spiritual implications going back to the times of Ancient Rome, Egypt, and Greece and was also considered one of the nine sacred herbs of the Anglo-Saxons. Enhancing positive energy, warding off diseases, and easing the symptoms of respiratory ailments are all standard practice for this wonderful herb, not to mention, its soothing aroma, that can dispel negative emotions and add an atmosphere of calm, relaxation to any setting. Our Roman Chamomile Essential Oil is steam-distilled from the plant’s flowers and has a clear pale-green color with a sweet, fresh, apple-like aroma that is sure to brighten and delight all the senses!

Indications:

Traditionally, Roman Chamomile is used for soothing tension and easing insomnia. In aromatherapy, the oil is also used for its skin healing properties. Roman Chamomile is an effective anti-inflammatory oil and can be used to help calm inflammation for arthritis. Roman Chamomile works well in facial blends, as the oil diminishes scars, marks, and spots on the skin and face. The oil can also be used to soothe headaches and muscle pains.

Roman Chamomile is antiseptic and antibiotic. The oil will rid the body of various bacteria and fungi. Roman Chamomile may also be used in the hair to keep the scalp infection free and rid of lice and mites.

Roman Chamomile eliminates feelings of sadness, allowing those with depression to be uplifted. It may also give one a refreshed feeling when diffused. The oil can also be used for irritability and anger, as the oil clears the mind and instills a sense of calm and peace.

Roman Chamomile can be used to stimulate circulation and detoxify the blood from various toxins, helping to cure ailments caused by poor circulation.

Usage:

Neat: Place a drop or two directly onto clean and intact skin. A couple drops on the wrists, shoulders, temples or neck imparts a beautiful aroma and is an effective remedy for stress and nervous depression. To use as deodorant, place a drop or two on each armpit. Note: May be too concentrated to be used undiluted on facial skin.

Blended with Carrier: Use 15 drops per 1 TBL of carrier oil such as grapeseed, rosehip, jojoba or hazelnut oils, and massage over any area where you would like for healing to occur. This dilution is ideal for facial skin. For more sensitive and mature skin, start out with using a 5 drops per 1 TBL dilution.

Bath: Place 8 drops into 3 handfuls of bath salt and disperse, or add 8 drops to vodka or whole milk

Diffusor: Follow diffusor manufacturers instructions, but typically add about 8 drops.

Room Deodorizer: Add 15 drops per 2oz distilled water and spray as desired.
