Himalayan Cedarwood Essential Oil is known to be very relaxing and soothing to the mind and soul.

The Cedarwood oil here is a Himalayan Cedar and is extracted from the cedar trees in the Himalayan Mountains. The Himalayan variety of Cedarwood oil is slightly sweeter and has stronger middle notes than the Atlas Cedarwood.

Cedarwood essential oil has been used for thousands of years for its scent and for meditational purposes. The ancient Egyptians used the Cedarwood oil for embalming purposes, perfumery, and cosmetics.

Today, Cedarwood is popular in aromatherapy for its powerful and subtle energy work, grounding properties, and its ability to clear away negativity and instill positive energies!

Emotional: Himalayan Cedarwood essential oil is an excellent grounding oil, as it helps relieve tension and anxiety, while inducing sedating and calming effects on the mind. Himalayan Cedarwood helps greatly with those experiencing challenges, as the oil instills self-confidence and strength in order to undergo these challenges with balance and stability.  Through calming and soothing the mind, the oil has an affect on those experiencing insomnia. Himalayan Cedarwood is also a tonic for the nervous system, which will soothe the nerves and work as an antidepressant. Himalayan Cedarwood is an excellent brain stimulator, as it stimulates healing energy and instills inspiration and creativity!

Skincare: Himalayan Cedarwood assists with acne, eczema, and topical itching and infections. The oil helps to balance oily and dry skin conditions, helping to heal acne. Himalayan Cedarwood also helps to balance major skin conditions including, eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis.  Himalayan Cedarwood is anti seborrhoeic, which allows it to regularize sebum production in the skin. When the production of sebum is irregular, the skin gets dry or greasy, peels off, and turns the skin color white or pale yellow. The oil has antiseptic properties which allows it to prevent and inhibit growth of any topical skin infections, including infections caused by seborrhoea. The oil is also fungicidal, which allows it to heal any topical fungal infections, including candida, ringworm, and athletes foot. Himalayan Cedarwood is also an insecticide and can be used as a mosquito and insect repellent either topically or in a vaporizer. Lastly, Himalayan Cedarwood relieves stress and nervous tension, which can help halt hair loss occurring as a result of any anxiety emotions.

Physical: Himalayan Cedarwood essential oil is antispasmodic, which allows the oil to relieve spasms of the respiratory system, intestines, muscles, heart, and nerves. The oil also works well as a tonic, as it tones the nervous system, muscles, skin, stomach, and stimulates the metabolism and brain functions. Cedarwood is also an astringent, which gives to oil properties to strengthens gums and loose muscles. Being an astringent, Himalayan Cedarwood can help cure loosening of gums and teeth, loosened muscles, diarrhea, and helps with overall health and youth. The oil also helps with those suffering from cough, cold, and other congestion related illnesses, as Cedarwood efficiently removes phlegm from the respiratory tracts and lungs. Himalayan Cedarwood essential oil is also an emanagogue, which helps to stimulate menstruation for those experiencing irregular menstruations. Contraindications: NONE.

Methods of Usage:
Neat: Place a drop or two directly onto clean and intact skin. A couple drops on the wrists, shoulders, temples or neck imparts a strong woodsy and honey-like aroma. Note: This oil should not be used undiluted on facial skin!
Blended with Carrier: Use 5 drops per 1 TBL of carrier oil such as grapeseed, rosehip, jojoba or hazelnut oils, and massage over any area where you would like for healing to occur.
Bath: Place 8 drops into 3 handfuls of bath salt and disperse, or add 8 drops to vodka or whole milk and disperse.
Shower: Soak for at least 3 minutes in steamy shower, then with the water off or turned away from the body, allow 5-7 drops to fall in the palm of the hand and distribute all over wet body (not face). The oil will penetrate very quickly, and the body can be rinsed again, or not.
Diffusor: Follow diffusor manufacturers instructions, but typically add about 8 drops.
Room Deodorizer: Add 15 drops per 2oz distilled water and spray as desire
